Do I need to write an MCP server?
No. Publish a collection and apikumo generates the MCP endpoint for you — there is no server code to write or host.
How do I connect Claude Desktop?
Copy your endpoint URL (for example acme.apikumo.com/mcp) and add it to claude_desktop_config.json under the mcpServers key. Claude discovers your API tools on the next restart.
Is the generated endpoint read-only?
Yes. Generated MCP endpoints are read-only: they describe your API but never send requests to it, and secrets are redacted.
